During September (2023), I had the valuable opportunity to draw inspiration from the beautiful nature surrounding 'Werk aan het Spoel', located along the river Lek. This environment prompted me to conduct an in-depth exploration of the relationship between humans and their surroundings. In line with my previous work, particularly my graduation project 'Geruisloos Nabeeld', I pondered the traces humans have left behind and the stories that are still being told.
During this residency, my focus was primarily on experimenting with pigments and casein to further develop my visual language as a painter. Additionally, I spent a lot of time photographing and sketching.

De hele maand september (2023) heb ik een residentie gevolgd bij LekArt. Hier heb ik de ruimte en tijd gekregen om mij te inspireren door de mooie natuur bij 'Werk aan het Spoel'. LekArt ligt in een prachtig natuurgebied en aan de rivier, de Lek. Vanuit deze omgeving ben ik een onderzoek gestart naar de relatie tussen de mens en de omgeving. Wat voor sporen heeft de mens achtergelaten en wat voor verhalen worden er nog naverteld?
Tijdens deze residentie heb ik vooral de focus gelegd op het experimenteren met pigmenten en caseïne, en mijn beeldtaal als schilder verder te ontwikkelen.
